Description: Stellenbosch Farm Cottage Flower Garden – We were tasked with creating a veggie, herb and flower garden against a sloping area at the back of the client’s house. We designed a circular retaining wall with steps/access from the driveway and another path from the shaded parking area – both joining at the entrance. Seeing as the back door is used as the main entrance when friends and family come over, we were also mindful of hiding unsightly pipes along the wall to create the perfect first impression of the house. A granadilla screen was used for this purpose – perfectly balancing the retaining wall and enclosing circular design – while still allowing easy access for maintenance purposes.
